The Yacht At Sunrise

Hi All,

Welcome to My Photographic Observations.

The last two posts have been about a morning in December at sunrise
with a theme of yachts and clouds.
I will continue that series with a third instalment.

The sun had only just got over the horizon and the landscape looked lovely
looking out over the river and seeing the clouds and yachts moored.
I set up my shot and I was going for a silhouette feel so I underexposed
the shot by 1 stop and white balance set too cloudy.

It turned out to be quite warm and the suns rays were peaking through the clouds.
I quite liked the way this picture turned out and didn't need much post processing.

I like the streak in the water and i also framed the shot with the horizon in
the bottom third of the frame.
In hindsight i should have positioned the yacht a little more to the right but I was thinking more of the suns position at the time.

I hope you liked my photographic observation for the day,

Feel free to leave any comments down below.

Thank you for taking the time to read.
