The Proposal

Hi All,

Welcome to My Photographic Observations.

Occasionally there is an occasion when you notice something special happening
in front of you when out taking photos.
I was wandering around Split and observing the light and looking for people
and things to take pics of as per usual.
From a distance I saw a guy on his knees holding the hands of this girl and I
thought to myself this looks interesting. It was about 5:30pm and the sun was getting low.

It kind of dawned on me this guy was either begging for forgiveness or maybe he was
asking the girl to marry.
I walked briskly to a better location and I just heard the girl yell out emotionally yes,
yes I will marry you.
I managed to fire of a few snaps but this one was the only one that kind of told the
story as she embraced him just after she said yes.

Ive had some rewarding experiences in my few years since I have taken up photography.
Nothing compares to the emotion I saw on this afternoon.
I did not want to intrude in what was obviously a personal private moment
so I left them to celebrate the time that they would be enjoying the rest of they're lives.

In hindsight I should have gone up to them and asked if they wanted the pic I took but i Thought
maybe they wouldn't like so I left them alone....

Maybe I will regret not approaching and asking but anyway...
