A Little Abstract II

Hi Folks,

Welcome to My Photographic Observations.
My theme for this post is a theme that I tackled ounce before called A Little Abstract.
I like to get close up shots and I also like to try something different. I am not an expert but I have three photos which I think will be interesting.

This first photo is a close up of paint splatter on a concreted floor.
Snake Maybe
To me it looks like it is some sort of a head as you can see an eye with a thin neck on the right and maybe a tongue on the left. Of course it is none, but, I just think the blue of the concrete and the yellow really stand out. I think of it as abstract as it is not a normal type of photo depicting a landscape, portrait etc.

The second photo is also a close up and also not the normal.

Turtle Maybe
I wouldn't begin to try and describe but this is a dollop of paint on a rock near the north mole in Fremantle. I just like the colours as it seems to me to be very soothing. The bright spot being the white in the middle. I think that maybe it looks like a turtle but then who knows.

The last photo I was practising a technique called the Monet after the great painter Monet.
Monet Style or Shaky Camera
The idea from a camera point of view is to set a slightly longer shutter speed and then shake the camera over the subject. In this case being this shrub.
I like the effect but I think in hindsight I would do this with a bed of colourful flowers.
I like to experiment with abstract because you can basically photograph anything and have different styles.
I like to take photos of landscapes but you cant always get a nice landscape so therefore it forces me to think out of the square.

Thank you for dropping by My Photographic Observations and until my next post adios.

Vedran
