Hi All,
Welcome to My Photographic Observation's.
My theme for today is an old decommissioned power station.
One of the places I have photographed many times is the outside
of the power station but never inside.
It has a fence around the perimeter and is off limits but people over
time have cut holes in the fence and have ventured inside.
This was the second time I have been inside the building as the first
was only a quick look and a couple of quick unsatisfactory photos
because of no tripod.
The second time however I bought my tripod with me so could get good
exposures. What makes the inside of the building so appealing is the
grit and texture and all the graffiti all over the place.
As it turned I only took a few bracketed photos and was interrupted and so
only spent about 15 mins instead of the planned hour or so.
Here is the first of the photographs.
As you can see it is a photographers paradise.
I would have loved to have been in there late afternoon instead of midday
to get the afternoon sun coming in through the windows.
The second photo I moved across about 15 feet and made another composition.
When bracketing photographs I usually bracket 1 Ev apart and usually use
Photomatix 5 hdr software to blend all together to get the feel I want.
Thank you for visiting and reading.

When Making Candid Street Photo's
Hi All,
Welcome to My Photographic Observations.
My topic today is how to handle a situation when taking
candid street photos.
I find street photography fun as you can take photographs of anything
you see on the streets as long as its in public space.
I'm not one for spying or anything like that but as I have posted before
I like to take candid or spontaneous photographs of people.
In the first photograph I was walking along Marmontova Ulica
which is a mall in Split Croatia. I saw a bright subject in my
peripheral vision and so I turned my head and this girl was sitting
on a bench seat.
I liked the bright yellow of the dress and proceeded to make a
photograph when she noticed me just as I made the click.
As you can see she wasn't exactly happy,
many other photographer's would have just moved on.
Instead I acknowledged I took her photo and walked up to her
and just said I am a street photographer. I showed her the photo
and being pro active asked if she was ok with me taking her photo.
She said I didn't need to delete the photo as long as not used inappropriately.
I asked if I could make a more pleasing photo of her and I would send it to her if
She wanted.
She said fine she would pose for a portrait and the result is below.
I think its good to not be intimidated and just be open if people notice.
If she had said she didn't like I would have deleted in front of her eyes.
I always like candid photograph's as they are the most interesting and always
look for interesting subject matter although in this case the colour
caught my eye.
Thank you for visiting and reading.

Time For A Snack
Hi All,
Welcome to My Photographic Observations.
Today's theme is about some of the ways people obtain snacks
or maybe just enjoying life at a cafe.
The first picture is what you see a lot of in Split Croatia although
not exclusively to Split of course.
A little cafe within the walls of Diocletian's Palace and the people
are quite happy to sit on little chairs have little tables for drinks etc.
I'm not one to partake in this type of thing because of all the people
that tend to wander through the little streets and alleyways.
I like to sit with a little bit of quietness without the hustle and bustle that can occur.
For my second picture I would think food on the go would be an appropriate title
as I thought it funny that the person didn't want to get of his bicycle lol.
Talk about eat on the run. Express delivery.
I just thought it interesting in what we see in the world.
Of course I am not complaining but just making it
